Laura wanted to quickly launch her free property website to the UK but had been left by a mishmash of random plugins and a half-working HTML template by her previous developer.

To keep things secure I reinstalled WordPress afresh, re-coded the design into a bespoke child theme for the Genesis framework and set about creating the core functionality using a mix of custom PHP and a select few WordPress plugins (including Gravity Forms).

Using custom post types I created a system which allows the user to list their property (for sale, for rent or house share), edit, delete and maintain the listing and all without paying agent fees. Users can enter property details, upload images and add their contact details to the advert. Once published, ads can easily be shared on Facebook to maximise exposure.
