WAHMweb work at home blog

Dedicated UK community and resource site for mums and dads working from home

Founded in 2011, WAHMweb is a dedicated UK community and resource site for WAHMs (“Work At Home Mums”) and WAHDs (“Work At Home Dads”).

When I first became self-employed, I noticed a lack of information for self-employed sole trader working at home parents. WAHMweb aimed to fill that gap with useful advice on a variety of topics relating to self employment, business marketing and how to juggle your own business and children (or try, anyway!)

WAHMweb has a full social media presence with over 400 Facebook likes and over 600 Twitter followers, reaching over 1000 per month.

Why hire Jem for your WordPress project?

Jem’s knowledge and experience of the WordPress platform has proved invaluable to Source in the time that she has been working with us. Her ability to quickly and efficiently build a WordPress website from the visuals provided is second to none – as is her willingness to support our in-house development team with their WordPress projects. Source would have no hesitation in recommending Jem to anyone looking for an experienced WordPress developer for their project or agency.

Jem has been unflinchingly helpful with every stage of the development of the Albion site, and has helped us keep it up to date and functioning effectively, solving problems as they have arisen. I am a techno-phobe, but Jem has been unfailingly supportive, helpful, always friendly and efficient. Also her rates seem really good value, but don’t tell her I said so.

Jem re-designed our website for us, ensuring it is now engaging, user-friendly and fantastic-looking. Highly recommend.

Jem developed our new website on time and to budget. She worked through the detail excellently and we got a superb end product that was optimised for web and mobile. We were highly impressed by her approach and knowledge. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting to embark on such a project.

Why I love working with WordPress

I've been using WordPress since the heady days of version 1.0 and developing WordPress websites commercially since version 1.5 (released in 2005!)
