Church Hill Middle School

Church Hill Middle School is a Redditch RSA Academy school based in Worcestershire.

I was approached by Church Hill Middle School in July 2016 who were looking to redesign their existing WordPress-based school website to bring it in line with other websites in the same academy trust.

Tasked with creating a design that appealed to middle school students and their parents, I approached local design agency matm who, with my WordPress theme design brief and expert guidance, created a website design mock-up that was a hit first time:

With the bespoke theme design approved, I set about coding the custom WordPress theme from scratch, integrating existing website elements and new photography, utilising WordPress plugins such as Soliloquy (sliders) and my custom media locations and base theme functionality work.

The new WordPress theme went live in early December 2016.

We totally, totally love [our WordPress website]!

I loved working through the process of developing my website. I concentrated on the words and imagery while Jem did her magic with the technology. I get so many compliments about our website and it’s definitely helped our business to grow quicker than we could have imagined. Being a lot of a technophobe, Jem’s calm assurance is always very much appreciated. I’d really recommend her.

Why I love working with WordPress

I've been using WordPress since the heady days of version 1.0 and developing WordPress websites commercially since version 1.5 (released in 2005!)
