Ultimately Better Ltd

Bespoke WordPress theme development for Shropshire-based agency start-up

After nearly 10 years working as a freelancer and sole trader, I launched Ultimately Better Ltd in 2021 to better facilitate and serve my rapidly growing customer base without compromising on customer service and quality.

Ultimately Better is a remote-first digital WordPress micro-agency based predominantly in Shropshire, but with clients based worldwide. Using a team of vetted freelancers, we are able to offer a broader range of services and a faster turnaround time than as a single freelancer.

The Ultimately Better website is built ‘live’ with WordPress, utilising the latest block editor experience (codename Gutenberg) to give flexibility as the site grows. The site is designed to be fast with a performance optimised bespoke WordPress theme, and privacy friendly – no anti-privacy tracking cookies here!

Why hire Jem for your WordPress project?

Magiboards has been working with Jem for 9 years. She single handedly developed and continues to maintain the Magiboards’ website. Our brief to Jem was to design something which we can easily update ourselves. This has worked very well, leaving our budget to be spent on continually adding new areas to the website.

An excellent web programmer, Jem understands what we are trying to achieve and always delivers. I would highly recommend Jem to any company wishing to use her services.

I was close to giving up after 8 years as a blogger. No matter what I did or who I got to help me, the hacker was one step ahead. That is until I enlisted the help of Jem Turner who managed to rid my blog of hacks and give me the confidence to blog again.

We needed to refresh our website and had lots of ideas; Jem was great as well as providing all of the technical expertise she was able to help us think through our design options and we now we have a great website that not only looks good but has additional features such as YouTube videos & training materials.

After having numerous difficulties with another website designer, we asked Jem to provide some assistance. Jem managed to overhaul our website and provide a user friendly site that we are thrilled with. She is extremely thorough, and knowledgeable – which gives us confidence that we are getting the best care for our site. She has provided support throughout challenging times when we have needed information to be readily available for parents. All we can say is, we are more than happy, and fully recommend Jem. If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
