Magiboards
Magiboards has been manufacturing presentation products such as whiteboards and noticeboards in the UK for over 50 years.
I’ve been working with Telford-based whiteboard and noticeboard manufacturer Magiboards since around 2006, when in my role of web developer with Shropshire-based digital agency matm I took on the task of creating an entirely bespoke e-commerce website allowing their business customers to buy from the Magiboards website directly.
Fast forward to 2015 and the Magiboards website is based on a bespoke WordPress add-on which handles the shop, customer accounts and ordering system. The bespoke WordPress plugin gives Magiboards complete control over much of their site, allowing for complete visual and textual flexibility.
The Magiboards website features an advanced “filtering” faceted navigation system utilising custom taxonomies and product categories. The product pages feature Ajax product customisation control allowing customers to select their choice of board colour and size easily.
In 2014, working with designs provided by The Design Frontier, I delivered a bespoke PDF brochure generation system powered by WordPress custom post types and the mpdf PDF creation library. The brochure pages can easily be downloaded by customers for business use, as well as being used by the Magiboards Sales Manager.
As well as pioneering technical development of the website I also work closely with Magiboards to recommend and integrate SEO solutions which has driven increased web visits year on year, as well as an increase in conversion rates and improved sales.
The website is fully responsive and works in a variety of browsers across multiple devices.
